Abnormal heating on the B phase feed of a 480V HVAC distribution panel at a hotel, consistent with increased resistance at a connection.
What was found
Thermal imaging identified abnormal heating on the B phase feed supplying HVAC equipment serving the hotel. Although the exact failure mechanism was not verified because repairs were performed by the client, the thermal pattern was consistent with increased resistance at the connection.

This feed supplied HVAC equipment serving guest areas of the hotel.
